We were very pleased to help con-sponsor the GLBT Historical Society’s new “Queer Culture Club,” series, which began last week with the Historical Society’s executive director Terry Beswick interviewing gay radical sex photographer Mark I. Chester. (See more info here.) Watch for future episodes of the series, on the second Thursday of each month.

We are also thrilled to note that our host for this event, Sumiko Saulson, is a recipient of a Horror Writer's Association's 2020 DIversity Grant. The grants were created by the HWA to help remove some of the barriers—often unseen but very real—which limit the amount of horror fiction being published by diverse voices.

Folsom Street Events has announced that there will be no "in person" Folsom Street Fair or Up Your Alley Fairs in 2021. But the Bears of San Francisco and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are planning a 2021 Bearrison Street Fair, and would love to have your help in planning it. Memberships in the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District last one full year, so if you joined around this time in 2020, you will be getting an invitation to renew soon. Membership is just $15 per year, and we waive that for anyone who is experiencing hardship (due to COVID-19 or for any other reason).
