- Date: Sunday, September 22, 2024
- Location: City Hall, Polk Street Steps
- Time: Gather at 11:00 AM, Program at 11:15 AM, Step Off at 11:30 AM
- Route Stops:
- 1 - Oasis,
- 2 – Powerhouse, Azucar Lounge, Hole in the Wall,
- 3 – Leather Etc,
- 4 – Mr S Leather/Ringold Alley,
- 5 – Lone Star Saloon
- End: Eagle Plaza for the Leather Pride Flag raising at Leather Pride Fest
- Gear On. Step Out. Give Back.

- Our community has chosen to honor Rachele with a heart plaque on Eagle Plaza.
- The official unveiling of the heart plaque will be held during Leather Week, on Tuesday, September 24, at 6 pm.
- Please mark your calendar and plan to join us and share your memories and stories to celebrate Rachele’s life.
- The SF Recreation and Parks Commission voted to name the future park at Natoma and 11th Street the Rachele Sullivan Park,
- We are delighted they accepted our recommendation to honor a woman who was one of the founders of our Cultural District, and a beloved member of SOMA’s Leather and Filipino communities.

- The next cohort of our Entrepreneur Training Program begins on Thursday, September 5. There is still time to enroll!
- This program can be helpful if you:
- Plan to set up a storefront in the SOMA area or start a business catering to the leather / kink community,
- Plan to sell products or provide services in SOMA, either at a permanent location or through popup locations such as a street fair, or
- Plan to sell your products or provide services through other existing stores in SOMA that cater to the leather / kink community.
- The training is free, and graduates receive a $500 stipend to help start or enhance their business.

- On July 20, more than fifty people attended a Safety Forum, organized in response to the assault on a member of our community. Those organizations included:
- Another Safety Forum has been scheduled for Saturday, September 7, from 1 to 3 pm, at the Eagle.
- Receive and share safety tips and advice for use both on the street and at home.
- Learn some warning signs and action you can take.
- Please join us, to unite and stand against violence in our community.
- Any time is a good time to join, but we have a special perk if you join now!
- All Cultural District members as of Tuesday, August 13, will be emailed a code for 2-for-1 tickets to Psychokitty's "The Dirty Talk Game Show" on Thursday, August 15, at DNA Lounge.

- Tours are led by LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District volunteers.
- The tours start and end at Ringold Alley, and run 1.5 to 2 hours. There are no hills.
- Tours are free, but registration is required.

- We believe the Leather & LGBTQ community is an integral part of the fabric of San Francisco and worthy of celebration.
- We exist to ensure there is a lively and vibrant home for our community of event, businesses, bars and organizations in SOMA.
- We: train entrepreneurs, partner with businesses and clubs, advocate for legislation, install public features honoring our culture, and create community gathering spaces.
